NB-CCI Welcomes Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Benin

We were delighted to witness Your Excellency's assumption of this important diplomatic responsibility and are confident that your wealth of experience, leadership, and commitment to regional cooperation will further strengthen the longstanding relationship between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
The visit during her welcoming ceremony to the Nigeria House provided an opportunity for the Chamber to formally welcome the Ambassador and reaffirm its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote stronger economic ties, enhanced cross-border cooperation, and deeper regional integration between both countries.
As a bilateral Chamber dedicated exclusively to promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Benin Republic, NBCCI recognizes the critical role of diplomatic institutions in fostering an enabling environment for businesses, investors, and stakeholders operating across both jurisdictions.
Speaking during the engagement, the President of the Nigeria–Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi, emphasized the Chamber's readiness to work closely with the Nigerian Embassy in Cotonou in advancing programs and initiatives aimed at facilitating trade, improving private sector collaboration, and unlocking new investment opportunities within the Nigeria–Benin economic corridor.
The Chamber also highlighted its ongoing efforts in trade facilitation, cross-border business formalization, stakeholder engagement, investment promotion, and regional economic integration, all of which align with the broader objectives of strengthening bilateral relations between the two neighbouring countries.
