The visit provided an opportunity for the NB-CCI President to engage with Her Excellency on matters of mutual interest, particularly the importance of strengthening Nigeria–Benin economic relations, promoting private-sector partnerships and creating greater opportunities for businesses operating across the two countries.

Alhaji Shokunbi highlighted the strategic role of the NB-CCI as a bilateral platform dedicated to facilitating cross-border trade, investment, business partnerships and regional economic integration. He also underscored the Chamber's commitment to working with key stakeholders and institutions to address challenges affecting businesses along the Nigeria–Benin economic corridor.

The discussion further reinforced the importance of developing stronger institutional and private-sector linkages capable of unlocking investment opportunities, supporting legitimate cross-border businesses and promoting sustainable economic development.

The courtesy visit forms part of the Chamber's broader stakeholder engagement strategy and its commitment to building strong relationships with individuals and institutions whose experience, networks and leadership can contribute to the advancement of bilateral economic cooperation.
